Comments:

Since graduating 20 years ago, went to HCC for 2 years, thought I was in LOVE and got married then divorced after 5 years. Finally found TRUE LOVE to a wonderful man and we have 3 beautiful children. We were hit with REALITY of the expense of 3 kids and daycare and decided to come home and raise my children and work. I have been working from home as a medical transcriptionist since 2004 and absolutely LOVE it. We have been in Baldwyn, MS (just north from Tupelo) for 5 years now. My husband became a US Citizen in September 2008 and we will be going to Chile in February which is where he is from. He has not been home in 18 years and I have NEVER met my mother-in-law nor have my kids ever seen their grandmother. There will be more to come on this story in the near future.

We have returned from Chile and I have to say that it is a beautiful country. It is truly amazing that Juan and I grew up 5000 miles apart in separate countries and somehow managed to find each other and have a wonderful life and family. Meeting his mom and brother were my highlights of my trip. I did not understand much of what they said but somehow we ALL managed to communicate with each other. Now the real challenge is to get busy learning Spanish so when his mom comes in one year I WILL be able to communicate with her. His brother will be coming for a visit in 2 years and is going to be learing English as a surprise for the kids so he can talk to them. We will return back to Chile within 5 years (before the passports expire for the kids) and hopefully travel down to the South (would really like to go all the way to the tip which is "the end of the earth").

Well, news for 2010 is that we are returning to Chile at the end of the year, actually flying out on Christmas Day and will return back home on January 11, 2011. We are going this time as an ENTIRE family so I am really excited. The kids are excited as well. Juan got me Rosetta Stone so there is no turning back now on the Spanish lessons.

School Story:

I have to say that my favorite time at FHS had to be my Sophomore year. I think that when the 3 Jr. Highs finally got to merge into "one school at FHS" for some of us that was just awesome. Meeting new friends and just really coming together as a "family" during Colonel Classics had to be the best.
